      For the purpose of making the protoype of adult's KIMONO which is easy to wear and fits to body well, in this paper the effects of cutting way for the ERIKATAAKI and the measure of the KURIKOSHI on the appearance form of eri (neck band) in wearing were discussed.

      Experimentaly six types of KIMONO were made as follow. ERIKATAAKI was cut in straight line or curved line and the measures of KURIKOSHI were 2, 3.5, and 5cm respectively. The appearance form of eri of types of KIMONO in wearing were investigated by photograph.

      Following results were obtained.

    1) In the case of ERIKATAAKI was cut in straight line the back appearnce form of eri was horizontal straight line, and was cut in curved line, these were U-shape along with the neck line.

    2) The inclined angle of eri was increased with the increasing of the measure of KURIKOSHI.

    3) The body style had a remarkable effecton the inclined angle of eri.

      In order to see the color-preference of aged women, the researches on the color-preference of aged and young women has been made by using eight colors of summer omepiece. The ranking of its eight colors and the selecting factors of the first and the eighth are given from this researches.

      For the comparative study of the color-preference between aged and young wemen, these results are served. The order of the color-preference is decided by the following managements : First is the coefficient of concordance by Kendall method, second is theX2-test, and third is the normal ranking approach. Each meaningful differ of the selecting factors is gained through the t-test. Inquiring into these data, the following are recognized.

      1) As to rhe color-preference order of the aged women, blue occupying the first rank in 1971 in the Tachibana report1) makes place for light brown.

      2) Orange given the eighth rank by aged women in this reserch coincides with its rank of the Tachibana report. The young women also give the lower rank.

      3) The selecting factors of the color of the aged women remarkably contrary to that of the young.

      Recently, many studies about the relationship between environmental tempeature and the wearing have been carried out in various fields, froma stand point of view of enving policy.

      The regional thermal insulation in the cold is seemed so effective that it has been practiced in the life since early ages when the heating systems were not spread. It's basic study, however, can hardly be found.

      The object of this paper is to clearlify the effects of heating the various parts of the body upon the skin temperature of the whole body.

      The results showed that heating back, buttock and foot were the most effective to increase the skin temperature of the whole body. The fact was agreed with the tradition handed down from old' times.
