Have you ever heard the phrase “OnstageShizuoka” It is one of our emphasized projects to develop an increasingly interactive population through revitalization of the local economy by making our city walkable and invigorating, a city where visitors can spend are laxing and enriching time, through the power of culture and art, with the ater, music and street performances. Public spaces are an asset of the citizens, a place to utilize their skills and a stage for the mtoshine. Those who stand there are street performers, musicians, staff of side walk cafés and even event participants. We earnestly want to help them be on stage at these public spaces, making our city lively with unique players. This is the reason we started to make “The Area Management Guideline”. We created the guideline in 2 booklets:Step1 is for beginners; Step2 is for experienced parties.
Step1:Even if you want to use a public space, it is a challenge working out what needs to be done and where to consult. Therefore, we have put together a series of procedures and consultation counters into a flow diagram, to lower the hurdle of trying to use public spaces.
Step2:We have formulated a list of projects that the town development groups wanted to try out, along with a guide that allows them to search for a system that makes it possible to utilize the public spaces.
