This paper discusses phenomena, factors and models about what are good representations of three-dimensional geospatial information for human from the following points:(1)usefulness of mobile maps on smartphones for people who are weak in reading maps,(2)new relation between human and maps led by GPS and smartphones, (3)egocentric mapping, (4)whether human’s spatial memories are three-dimensional or not, (5)various definitions of three-dimensional spaces according to fields, (6)necessity of three-dimensional geospatial information, and (7)feasibility of three-dimensional geospatial information infrastructure for large artificial objects including buildings, underground towns and floor sketch maps.
