The objective of this paper is to evaluate the in-plane shear properties of honeycomb sandwich panel with face members of fabric CFRP. The face members was made of two plies, 8-harness-satin CFRP laminated with ±45° orientation angles. The elastic constants and in-plane shear strength of the CFRP face members were calculated theoretically. Three test specimens of sandwich panel were loaded in shear by the applied tensile load in the diagonal direction at the opposite corners of a rhombic test frame. The calculated results reasonably predicted the test results.
