Two electrodes with the same size and quality were implanted in the rabbit's aulicle at a distance of 20 mm. The reference electrode (the point of 0 V) was placed on the medial angle of the eye. The electrode potentials (floating potentials) were inclined to the positive side using the platinum electrodes and inclined to the negative side using the stainless steel electrodes.
When galvanized with 20 μA current, those electrode potentials increased and showed the extreme level at 3 days later when using the platinum electrode, at 1 day when using the stainless steel electrode, and soon after the starting when using the stainless steel which was attractable by the magnet.
Compared with the potential of platinum electrode, the peak level was 1/2 in stainless steel electrode, and 1/3 in stainless which was attractable by magnet. These results indicated the higher electro-conductivity of the stainless steel. At 10 days after the start of galvanizing, no changes were found on the platinum electrode, whereas the oxidized corrosion of the anode was seen on both of the stainless steel electrodes.

A 6-year-old female maltese showed a walk with its weight bearing on the intercarpal joints of both forelegs since approximately 50 days ago. This was soon followed by the wobbling of the bilateral hindlegs.
Plain X-ray examination to the four legs revealed remarkable resorption of bones bilaterally in the elbow joints, intercarpal joints, stifle joints and tarsal joints. Antinuclear antibody reaction test and rheumatoid factor in this case were both negative. However, since the clinical condition of this dog satisfied seven of the eleven diagnostic criteria specified by the American Rheumatism Association, the diagnosis of rheumatoid arthritis was established. The initial treatments consisted of administration of steroid and aspirin. Arthrodesis of the both carpal and stifle joints was performed and the result was satisfactory. Also the local irradiation of low-energy laser beam might stop the pain in this patient.

A 3-year-old male Japanese domestic cat was presented with a mild right hindlimb lameness. During the observation without any treatments except a short-period antibiotic therapy, clinical signs gradually progressed and the cat showed ataxia after one month.
Cervical canal stenosis at C4 and irregular shape of C3 to C5 vertebrae detected by myelography suggested spinal cord compression. Dorsal decompressive laminectomy was performed from C2 to C5, and 10 days later, the cat was able to walk normally.
