Three small breed dogs that were suspected cervical spinal desease were performed myelogram with neutral, traction, flexed and extended positions. These cases had dynamic lesions and were diagnosed as a cervical vertebral instability. These cases were treated with dorsal laminectomy, and the post operative clinical courses of them were exellent. Dorsal laminectomy for cervical vertebral instability in small breed dogs seems to be very useful.

A 1-year-old male Papillon dog was presented with Levine IV/VI continuous murmur diagnosed as patent ductus areteriosus by Doppler echocardiography, with 4.84 m/s shunting velocity flow. The sheath was inserted in the femoral artery, the contrast media was injected via pigtail catheter. The minimal ductal diameter of pulmonary side was about 2.1 mm. The 3.0 mm size of an Amplatz Canine Duct Occluder was received. Residual shunting were assessed by angiography immediately, 15 min after and by Doppler echocardiography 1 day and 7 days after the intervention. The residual shunting was seen little in immediately, but never seen in 15 min, 1 day and 7 days after intervention.

A 2-year-old female miniature schnauzer was referred for left femoral fracture. This dog had a history of recurrent fractures. Radiographic examination revealed systemic osteopenia. Metabolic disease was ruled out on the basis of the results of several blood examinations, and histopathological examination of the bone biopsy samples suggested osteogenesis imperfecta.
