Preferred color reproduction and factors influencing on it are reviewed in the case of flesh color. Preferred flesh color is determined by memory color. Memory color depends on panel's race, country and age, scene and season of the picture, model's age, sex and race, and picture or cartoon style. A variety of showing methods of samples for subjective evaluation and methods how to determine a numerical value of flesh color obtained from face area possessing various colors are described.
In the current workflow, digital cameras, scanners, monitors and software are operating in the RGB color space. The appropriate settings are chosen in the image processing software; the AdobeRGB color gamut covers most colors. The newly developed offset inks "TK Hy-Unity Soy Kaleido" expand the current CMYK gamut to a gamut which is close to 6 or 7 color printing, all this just using four colors in a 4 color printing process. An unimaginable color gamut now answers the needs of designers and the photographers as well as those of the printing companies ,using a fast and affordable 4-color printing process.

Preferred color reproduction is divided into several categories. depending upon workflow, object of color reproduction, and other factors. As to each category in this article we'd like to introduce color technology that realize preferred color reproduction in printing and photographic fields.
We were successful in achieving Iwaenogu-like reproduction that has the same uneven, grained touch and textural feelings by screen and inkjet printing. First of all, the layer with peaks and valleys was formed on a base paper and the absorbing layer of inkjet ink was coated. This process was carried out by screen method. Screen inks were also developed. The painting was finally printed by inkjet method on it.
