In the reeling process of crimp hybrid silk by combining crimp nylon treated by knit-deknit method with the cocoon filaments using air jet, better combining conditions were studied. In addition, the properties of fabrics made of crimp hybrid silk were studied.
It has been observed that the air pressure of air jet nozzle, the diameter of the threading tube of air jet nozzle and the croissure length during reeling has significant influence on the combining state of cocoon filaments with crimp nylon in the production of crimp hybrid silk. It has also observed that croissure length has no influence on the combining state of false twisted nylon with cocoon filaments in the production of hybrid silk. From the results, better combining conditions were defined for the production of crimp hybrid silk.
By using the crimp hybrid silk, the fabrics were woven. As a result, it was confirmed that the fabric was thin, light, transparent and bulky, and it had the characteristics of the fine wrinkles like georgette crepe.
