Research on the practice of air-hardening of cast iron is reported in this second paper. The study included the influence of various components on hardening effects, abnormal characteristics of manganese, and mechanical properties of manganese-molybdenum cast iron.
The Construction of this furnace is analogous to that of high frequency induction furnace. This furnace is suitable for intermitted melting. It has many merits. A demerit of it is ajitation of molter metal. The auther describes the melting process for copper alloys in this article.
