Copper-Chromium Cast irons, investigated in this reseerch, conbain C 3.2%, Si 2.1%, Cr 0.3-0.9%, Cu 0~2.8%. Chilling aition of Chromium is neutrlized with the suitable amount of Copper; that is two times of the Chromium Content. Best tensile Strength is Oltained in the rage of Cr 0.3~0.6% and Cu 1~1.5%. Inpact resistance is maximun in the ranzc of Cr 0.3~0.6% and Cu 0.6~1% Chromium acts effectivelg to prevent the growth of Cu-Cr Cast iron. Corrcsion rssitance of Cu-Cr Cast iron is incseared with capper up to 0.6~0.7%, and the excess of copper is rather injuritns to the cortesion resistance.
