Macroscopic radial motions of plasma in a Z-pinch type plasma focus are calculated numerically using the snowplow model and the Leontovich-Osovets' equation. Being connected with the macroscopic motion of plasma, motions of ions in the pinched phase are also calculated using the three-dimensional, crossed-field acceleration model. It is shown that there appears a new betatron-like acceleration without high drift velocity before the maximum pinch. A strong free-streaming acceleration with high axial velocity is shown to appear after the maximum pinch.
