A magnetohydrodynamic model for a implosion of pinch plasma, in which a external magnetic field (compression field) was taken as
B
e (t) = (dB
e/dt)
t=0t and a bias magnetic field B
1 existed in a plasma column, was studied in the previous paper. Here, (dB
e /dt)
t=0 is the rising speed of the compression field in the initial stage of the pinch. However, the external field has practically the form of
B
e (t) =B
1+ (dB
e/dt)
t=0t in many pinch experiments of the case of the existence of the bias field. In the case of such an external field, it is expected that the effects of the bias field on the implosion differ from those reported in the previous paper. In this paper, the characteristics of the implosion in that case are discussed by using the model. The result entirely different from it in the previous paper is that the values of the starting time of compression and the time of maximum compression decrease as B
1 becomes larger.
