We developed high picture quality single chip CCD digital camera for home-use. Using 2/3" 900 thousand pixel CCD, this camera achieved high resolution, 530 TV lines in horizontal and 450 TV lines in vertical, and exact color reproduction as 2 or 3 chips CCD cameras by primary color filters and primary color signal processing. Further, this camera is constructed by 10bits digital signal processing.

Moreover, recently A.E.Jacquin have first applied the IFS to the problem of image compression. The method is based on the principle which is completely different from that of the other existing waveform image coding techniques, and hence the IFS-based method have received much interest. The work herein, from the stand-point of its pratical applications to compression of still/moving images, experimentally studies the IFS-based method, particularly focusing on the block classification method.

The experimental results using a test sequence show that the proposed method is effective in conforming the depth of feature points in 3-D model.

Adaptively switching the VLC tables based on NumCOEF improves redundancy reduction efficiency of the transform coefficient stream. Computer simulations are performed with a 3% in coding efficiency.
