This paper reviews plasma physics related to laser implosions, where fluid dynamics, energy transport and laser-plasma interactions are discussed. The requirements on the compressed D-T plasma parameters lead to the conditions which are imposed on the accelerated shell velocity, the spherical uniformity, the acceleration pressure, the absorbed laser intensity and the preheating by high energy electrons and X rays. The crucial physical processes in those items are described in detail, which are the laser ablation, the heat flux limitation, Rayleigh-Taylor instability, the classical and anomalous laser absorption, the stimulated laser scatterings and so on.
