1. Human geography has been renamed “Geography”. It does not mean to contain both human geography and natural geography, the contents have not changed. The term refects the tendency of the geographical world, the major part of whose work in recent years lies in the sphere of human geography. It is right to understand that human geography means geography.
2. Geography consists of two courses, geography A and geography B. The former is studied 3 hours a week, the latter 4 hours. Geography A will be studied mainly in vocational courses. It is not geography B simplified but contains the items which are not studied in geography B such as commerce and consumption.
3. Both geography A and geography B, by means of regional survey are planned to give an understanding of present world affairs. This method of learning, however, does not supersede the method of learning systematic geography, but the students will learn the present situation of the world regionally in both agriculture and industry, for example.
4. The item “Map” is to be looked upon an important one, considering it neither as simply an appendix nor as separate from the chapter. In geography A, map is used as on approach to every chapter.
5. “Development and conservation of naional land” is a new item added. It is efficient to unify various contents about production into this item.
