In order to realize various kind high-mix low-volume production technique for a large-scale wiring board or micro parts, on-demand repair technology is desired. The aim of this study is to develop new first production flaw detecting system with laser scanning which detects disconnection of large-scale circuit or profile failure of micro parts quickly. In this system, the product surface is inspected within 4 seconds and when the production error is detected, the repair processing realizes improvement in the yield of production. This report describes the result of having conducted a trial production and evaluation basic experiment of the high-speed defective detection system.

The aim of this research is to realize an ultrasonic motor at cryogenic environment. Because the driving temperature decreases from room temperature to an ultralow temperature, a thermal stress is generated. By the thermal stress, changes in pre-load are caused, and the performance of the motor decreases. The ultrasonic motor for cryogenic temperature needs to be designed to reduce the thermal stress. In this research, bolt-clamped Langevin-type transducers (BLTs) suitable for cryogenic temperature have been used. The diameter and the length of the BLT are 20 and 16mm, respectively. BLTs are mainly made of SUS304, Ti, and invar, which have different thermal expansion coefficients. The performance of BLTs has been evaluated by measuring vibration velocity at 300K. Additionally, thermal stress of BLTs has been evaluated when the temperature falls from 300K to 4.5K. The vibration velocity and thermal stress of BLTs has been compared.

In this study, we have designed a bolt-clamped Langevin-type transducer for droplet generation. The purpose of this paper is to simplify the structure of the bolt-clamped Langevin-type transducer. We have changed the fixation method and the length of the transducer. The transducer has been designed based on the finite element method. In addition, we have generated droplets by using pure water and silicone oils which have different viscosities.

To achieve the desired bending radius and degrees during bending process, over-bending with precision amount is necessary to eliminate the manufacturing error caused by spring back. Researches of prediction of spring back are mostly based on the assumptions of linear elasticity and exponential plasticity, which can not be applied on copper sufficiently because of its special stress-strain characteristics. In this study, a calculating method which is derived from the expansion of the elastic beam theory has been established, and spring back prediction is carried out by simple calculation. The prediction accuracy is verified with experiments and simulations of rectangular-copper-bar bending. The prediction error showed that the standard deviation was 6.9%.
