The pit planning of Ryuho in the Fushun colliery has been subjected to a careful investigation for about three years in accordance with such peculiarities as demanding of the maximum ability of output, the high friability ofcoal, the severe coldness in winter, and so forth. As a result of this investigation, various plans have been formed, and now, from this spring, further development and constructions for the completion of the shaft mine are being undertaken.
The equipment of the new pit is considered to be not only the biggest in Manchuria, but it may truly be called the largest and the most up-to-date one in the Far East.
The following will indicate the outline of our plans and the reason for our decision.
