The stress-strain curves of oil-extended SBR, NBR, BR and EPDM vulcanizates were analyzed according to our proposed rubber elastic equation and that of Mooney-Rivlin.
In these parameters obtained by the plots of both equations, the proportional relationships were obtained between ν
kT and
C1, and
b and
C2, respectively. ν
kT and
C1 which are concerned with primary linkages decreased slightly with increased mixed oil level, owing to the diluent effect. On the other hand,
b and
C2 which are concerned with secondary linkages, decreased substantially with oil level because of reduction of the internal visocosity of the vulcanizate and lack of pseudocrosslinking.
