On the blends of PVC and various rubbers such as NR, IR, BR, IIR, SBR, CR and chlorosulfonated polyethylene, the processibilities of blending and the properties of vulcanizates were studied.
By adding a plasticizer to PVC before blending, the processibilities of blending were extremely improved. In the relation between the properties and the blend ratio of blends, the properties had the point of inflection at the ratio of rubber/PVC=50/50. It was found that the various rubbers tried have not any mutually reinforcing effect such as observed between NBR and PVC.

The properties of three-component blends of NBR, PVC and another rubber such as NR, IR, IIR, SBR, BR, or CR were studied.
In the relation between the properties and the blend ratio of blends, the properties had point of inflection at the ratio of total rubber/ PVC 50/50. It was found that the several rubbers such as NR, IR, SBR, BR, and CR could be substituted for some part of NBR which was used as plasticizer for PVC.
