This study establishes a locomotor evaluation parameter that is useful for identifying locomotive syndrome in
aged people, people with potential susceptibility to the syndrome, and preliminary locomotor deficiency groups. In
this study, using a stabilometer and an accelerometer, we calculated the impulse from vertical load and the acceleration
of the knees of the subjects (8 healthy people and 1 patient) while they ascended and descended stairs. Additionally,
the dispersion of impulse between ascent and descent over five trials was converted to the locomotor evaluation
parameter. Consequently, a correlation between the locomotor evaluation parameter and age was confirmed; however,
it is necessary to increase data volume to enhance reliability.
