Byproducts from oil milling process has been researched and developed for long time due to valuable utilization of sources. This article introduce these manufacturing process and market of 'Lecithin (Phospholipid) ' which is used as more familiar and multifunctional byproduct than other complex lipids and 'Glucosilceramide (Glycolipid) ' which is being paid attention as useful and functional source recently.
The emulsification technology controlled the particle size must be prepared very fine and monodispersed emulsion. The review brings to introduce the technology for two emulsification methods of very fine O/W emulsion. One is the SPG (Shirasu-Porous-Glass) membrane emulsification method in the particle size of micro order, and the other is the mechanical emulsification method used by High Pressure Homogenizer in the particle size of nano order.
