Sebum secretion from sebaceous glands plays an important role in the protection of skin because of its wettability, lubricity and film-formation. Therefore, decrease of secretion amount of sebum causes an chapped-skin and a fissure. On the other hand, it is reported that excessive secretion of sebum stimulated a sticky feeling on skin, a formation of comedo and a negaive effect to skin by peroxylipids. Furthermore, make-up film deterioration by sebum must be considered as influence on makeup products. Almost all cosmetic users do NOT satisfy to “long-lasting” effect of currently available make-ups, therefore, the relationship between make-up film deterioration and secretion sebum is extremely use for formulation of cosmetics. In this report, some properties of secretion sebum is shown at former part, and then, countermeasure methods against sebum as make-up ingredient is introduced at latter one.

The environmentally friendly products are developed in various fields as the consciousness to environment increases. The biodegradability lubricating oils continue to compete with traditional petroleum-based oils and greases in the marketplace. Biobased products, e.g. vegetable oils and the ester, can help protect and preserve the environment. Vegetable oils are renewable resources and can contribute to the issue of global warming. In addition, they are excellent lubricity and high viscosity index. I'd like to now focus on regulations and a trend of biodegradability lubricating oils and expect the future.

Main ingredient of domestic fabric softeners is a double chain cationic surfactant. It is suggested that the performance is related to phase condition or molecular orientation of the cationic surfactant or the compound used together by many experiments. A polyether modified silicone (PMS) makes a particle size of a fabric softener smaller, and tribological characteristics lower. The particle combined with PMS improves texture of clothes and their durability as well as maintains their appearance by penetrating deep into filaments uniformly. Especially, lower modified and highly polymerized PMS is a suitable material for the compound. It is presumed that the PMS is finely distributed in the particle.

Mayonnaise is an oil-in-water emulsion formulated with egg yolk and vegetable oil. Since the oil is high in polyunsaturated fatty acids, mayonnaise is very susceptible to oxidation and subsequent loss of quality. In countries other than Japan, the addition of EDTA has been implemented to prevent the oxidation of mayonnaise. However, we in Japan have been testing alternative methods of preventing oxidation by controlling the amount of oxygen from outside through the packaging.
Since this oxygen control alone cannot maintain the long-term quality of mayonnaise, we have studied the effects of controlling the level of dissolved oxygen (DO). However, this method has not been used in a high-density emulsified food before. In this study, we first measured the amount of DO in mayonnaise with a non-invasive fluorescence type DO sensor. Next, we produced mayonnaise with various levels of DO. Finally we analyzed the amount of DO and the flavor of the mayonnaise.
As a result, we confirmed that without the addition of an antioxidant such as EDTA, we could avoid the oxidation during storage of mayonnaise by controlling the level of DO.

A way of thinking changes in earth environmental safeguard type for all things with fear to cause air pollution, environmental pollution from a way of thinking that environmental management in printing should remove simply a dangerous harmful thing. On the basis of this background, environmental friendly inks such as AF ink, Soy ink, non VOC ink, Hybrid ink have been developed. It is necessary to give a equal print effect and printability to conventional ink as well as environmental care, and new development and improvement of components are necessary. In concrete, it is considered the resinous denaturation for keeping dissolution property as for the use for aroma free solvent, and the addition of polarity material to prevent roller shrinkage and change of components to maintain drying property. Now non VOC ink and Hybrid ink are developed as a latest environmental friendly ink, but further study for improvement is expected.

Conventional cationic electrodeposition coatings use a combination of bisphenol type-A epoxy resin containing an amino group partially neutralized with an acid for hydration and a blocked isocyanate curing agent.
Despite its excellent performance, it has inherent limitations during electrodeposition.
In overcoming these limitations, electric energy normally used for deposition was also used to control two other chemical reactions; the crosslinking reaction, by utilizing the isomerization reaction of the propargyl group into the allenyl group, and the electrolytic reduction of sulfonium salt, which controls the electrical resistance of the deposited film.
As a result, the environmental property, the throwing power and many other properties were dramatically improved, suggesting the possibility that these limitations could be overcome.
The improvement of reactive efficiency and the improvement of the environment were able to be achieved because of the application of “Main resin fastened up the catalyst” in addition to these technologies.
This article reports on the novel environment friendly Electrolyzed Activate Deposition material (Brand name : INSULEED®) with high electric insulation coatings, its curing behavior, and film properties.
