Recently, the development of optically active luminophores that can emit circularly polar ized luminescence (CPL) with high functionalities, such as a high dissymmetry factor (g_CPL) and a high quantum yield (Φ_F), has attracted attention in the field of chiroptical materials. Generally, enantiopair of luminophores with a stereogenic centre(s) provide mirror-image CPL signals with (+)- and (–)-signs. Upon combining chiral peptides and fluorescent pyrene moieties, chiral oligopeptides bearing pendant pyrenyl units exhibit CPL originating from intramolecular pyrene excimers, and the sign of their CPL signals can be controlled by the distance between the pendant pyrenes and the type of solvent em ployed.

In addition to the scientific researches in the field of oleo-science, colloid chemistry and soft matter physics, the author is performing the contemporary art to represent the essence of the science. In this article, I would like to introduce my art works exhibited in the events and to present why I am performing the science-art activities.
