The introduction of ICT (Information Communications Technology) into the clinical trial system is expected to reduce the time and costs associated with new drug development. Steps are being taken to introduce a new form of communication and information sharing using ICT. However, there are several issues that need to be resolved before it can work efficiently, such as quality assurance of clinical data, security of patients’ personal data, and an effective balance between face-to-face communication and the use of ICT in order to maintain client peace of mind. The objective of this paper is to identify issues relevant to the exchange of clinical information between or among medical doctors, patients, and clinical research coordinators based on existing examples of where ICT has been introduced into clinical trials. Several issues will then be considered in relation to how a clinical information-sharing ICT platform should be managed, taking the framework of P2M platform management into account.

It is necessary to consider lifecycle of product or business when to discuss product innovation management. In P2M society, a program architecture based on 3S model. From this view point, it is natural to apply P2M in the product innovation management issue. Almost previous discussions of the product innovation management in P2M society are stated about the way for practical usage of current company`s system efficiently. The scope of such discussions is regarded as “service model”. Most Japanese production industries constructed their own development system for product innovation through the economic growth. Of course, past generation created such system with much trial & error. However, it is difficult to compare the speed of economic environmental change between past generation and current one. In spite of this situation, most Japanese production industries tend not to change their system. To keep business continuity, development system for product innovation should be changed according to environmental change. In this paper, the author proposes the framework for product innovation through 3S model. Moreover, this framework will be explained with an example.

In the previous papers, the authors discussed a multi-program platform as a strategic framework to achieve a corporate vision and proposed decision driven protocols that make a dynamic adjustment of strategy for smooth orchestration on the multi-program platform. In this paper, the authors would like to discuss that previously proposed orchestration implies decision-making protocols to promote smooth interaction between a program for the customer satisfaction and a program for the internal business process innovation. With regard to project management in ODA (Official Development Assistance) , many successful cases are reported and analyzed in the journals of International Association of Project and Program Management in terms of specific management aspects of P2M. This thesis introduced P2M theory into the formulation of effective and more universal methods of ODA project management, following those preceding studies. The first step is the selection of 2 successful cases such as “The Union of the Republic of Myanmar: The Project for Strengthening Child Centered Approach” and “The Republic of the Philippines: Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM) Human Capacity Development Project” which were objectively evaluated by JICA study missions. The second step is the pursuit of common factors of effectiveness. In both cases a good and effective factor was identified in terms of P2M’s “time management”. The third step is the feedback of effective management factors from P2M theory to practice. The essences of the feedback are i) implementation of monitoring at different management levels with appropriate frequency, ii) formulation of communication culture in which team members recognize and discuss abnormal situation or problems without delay, and iii) flexible adjustment of plan which encourages necessary modification of plan for the purpose of realizing the project goals.

In order to realize social value, cooperation with other business organizations is more effective than organization alone. Therefore, we confirm the efforts by cooperation among the organizations and clarify the structure that generates value. When developing a business through collaboration with other organizations, it is thought that improvement of internal processes of their own organization will be aimed at. Improvement of this process works effectively for internal organizations in collaborating organizations and mutual improvement leads to value realization. In this paper, we believe that the establishment of such a structure will establish an organic relationship between economic value creation activities and social value creation activities. Therefore, considering the structure that leads to the realization of social value by cooperating among different business entities with P2M in consideration.
