    An equilibrium and stability problems of a plasma in lieliotron magnetic field are discussed under the assumption that the plasma behaves such as hydromagnetic fluid and its pressure is much less than a magnetic pressure.
    When the plasma carries only a diamagnetic Jθ current and not a jz current due to a external electric field, for instance, joule heating electric field, the plasma quantities satisfying the equilibrium conditions take some reasonable distribution.
    Both equilibrium plasma pressure and diamagnetic current can be expressed respectively in the forms.
    P=α0ψ0/n (1-ψ/ψ0) njθ=-α0r (1-ψ/ψ0) n-1where φ=rAθ
    The stability condition for the flute type instability is given as follows;γpB2∂/∂ψ (1/B2) +∂p/∂ψ>0.
    The equilibrium state satisfying the above condition takes the next inequality;γ/n>1.51
    where γ is the ratio of the specific heats.

    Instability of two colliding plasma streams with no magnetic field is investigated by means of toe graphical solution of the dispersion equation. Unstable regions of electron beam-electron coupling, electron beam-ion coupling or electron-ion beam coupling, and ion-ion beam coupling are determined as a function of wave number, beam velocity and phase velocity. The dependence of those regions on beam temperature and beam density is also shown.

    We show some experimental results for solidification of CO2 and the dropping in vacuum. It is a preliminary experiment for solid D2 dropping in vacuum, in order to produce high density and high temperature plasma with giant pulse laser.

    An analysis of the magnetic field produced by e current following in the toroidally wound deliotron coils i3 studied. Under the assumption that a radius of coils is much less than that of torus, the analysis can resort to the peiturbation methord which all quantities are expanded in ta, where kis curvature of torus and a is radius of coil.
    Heliotron magnetic field is obtained analytically as a function of coil radius, the ratio of adjacent coils, the distance of adjacent coils and aurv_??_ture of torus. This field agrees with the experiment results.
