Amethod to operate a conventional Tokamak stationarily by using the magnetic surface of the linear quadrupole is proposed. A new divertor system which is useful for pumping out an impurity and effective for the direct enrgy conversion is also considered.
New method of driving the plasma current in a tokamak is proposed. When we diffuse out α-paticles in the particular region of the velocity space, an ion beam for the current sustain is produced effectively. A great advantage of this method is that external power required for the current sustain is “negative”.
