The aim in my paper is to explore some convincing aspects in Aristotle's solution. I make the following points clear.
Firstly, his arguments set forth gradual and convergent approaches to the paradoxes, namely, not only a transition from the
ad hominem arguments to the
fact and truth, but also his step-by-step reconstruction of four paradoxes.
Secondly, Aristotle correctly grasps that the most crucial issue is in how it is possible to "move
in an instant". He answers to this by suggesting (1) that "x is φ-ing
now" can be analyzed into "x is φ-ing in the same instant y is Ψ-
ing", and (2) that the latter part is based on the more fundamental motion and time.
