It became that the Legionella infectious disease appeared from bath person using the bath facilities, and the bacterial contamination countermeasure by the disinfection would be taken in bath facilities and bathtub water. In the meantime, the chlorination of the bathtub water is observed by the health maintenance point. However, they worry about the generation of the disinfection by product with that organic pollutant concentration of the circulating bath water. In this study, it investigated actual condition on circulating bath water trihalomethane in the bath facilities. And, formation of trihalomethane of the bathtub water was examined.

A computer simulation is performed to investigate the effect of cooling tower fan control on the total energy consumption of absorption water chiller and cooling tower systems through seasonal operation. The cooling systems have a total capacity of 1055kW, which are applied to an office building of a 10000m^2 floor area, and others. From the calculations, the followings are made clear. When the value of β, coefficient of cooling water temperature effect, is large, the lower set temperature of cooling water leads to a smaller energy consumption. On the other hand, when the value of β is small, the optimum set temperature becomes higher, though the reduction in the energy consumption is small. The multiple units control system leads to a remarkable reduction in the energy consumption especially for such building uses as hospital, shop and hotel of which cooling loads are less than half of the total chiller capacity in most operating hours. The return temperature control of the chilled water leads to a higher supply temperature and hence a smaller energy consumption than the supply temperature control.

The selection of a general heat source equipment system decides the best system for the building from the building usage, the location climate condition, and essential information of the building scale etc. The design supporting tool proposes by this reports doesn't depend on experienced engineer's judgment, and there is a feature in the point that can be calculated automatically and promptly. It reports on the result of a variety of heat source equipment systems' comparing the energy performance and the initial cost by using the developed design supporting tool in this report for the heat source equipment system.

This paper compares the developed weather data of Beijing by the different organizations. The main elements while the temperature, the humidity and the solar radiation are took out and compared in the statistics. And by studying the source data, interpolation, solar radiation model and the composition of typical meteorological year of the several data sets, to discuss the data sets from the quality.

The research to purify rainwater collected from the gutter of the detached house by using high-grade charcoal manufactured from bio-materials such as waste woods was conducted with the aim of enabling the effective use of rainwater. As a result of the experiment where high-grade charcoal used in the experimental apparatus has not been exchanged for one year and three months, when COD concentration of the influent (the rainwater) to the experimental apparatus was 4.0〜0.5mg/l, the effluent from the experimental apparatus was about 2.8〜0.5mg/l for the retention time of one hour. When the experimental apparatus was operated again after one month's suspension in autumn, six months' suspension from winter to early summer and one and a half months' suspension in summer, purification capacity with high-grade charcoal was continuously admitted. Therefore, it has been understood that high-grade charcoal is able to purify rainwater to the level usable for various practical purposes, and it has been inferred that the water purification (COD reduction) mechanism with high-grade charcoal is depends on the adsorption and the action of the microorganisms.

In 2000, the group infection accident of Legionnaires' disease from circulation type bathtub occurred in Shizuoka prefecture and Ibaraki prefecture. Before this group infection accident in 2000, our country has experienced sporadic Legionnaires' disease from bathwater and the group infection of Legionnaires' disease from cooling tower. By the investigation, we also have found that the probability which Legionella is separated off the water in a bathtub is high. The documentary search subcommittee in the plumbing sanitary system committee in SHASE published the result report paper about "The collection and organization/analysis of materials on a bathroom, bathhouse and bath systems" in March, 1996. One of the working groups in the documentary search subcommittee implemented the survey by questionnaire to prefectural governments besides the investigation of laws or legislations such as national laws and prefectural regulations. With this investigation result, we examine the regulation of local government and public administrative direction or guidance before the large-scale outbreak of Legionnaires' disease at public bathhouse.
