Chlamydia trachomatis infection is now well recognized as one of sexually transmitted diseases (STD) . The study was performed to analyze an accuracy of diagnostic procedures and their relation to clinical stages. We analyzed the disease serologically detected method using antibody againist Chlamydia trachomatis and microscopic observation on smears staind with Papanicolaou and immunohistochemical staining using anti-Chlamydia trachomatis antibody. Serum antibody titer levels of IgA and IgG were high to be closely related to clinical stages of the disease. For instance, 5 out of 6 cases with Fitz-Hugh-Curtis syndrome showed very high level of serum antibody titer. Cytologically, intracytoplasmic inclusion bodies were observed in metaplastic epithelial cells of vaginal smears with Papanicolaou staining. These inclusion bodies were also positive for smears with immunohistochemical staining using anti-Chlamydia trachomatis antibody. In addition, cytological results also showed a close correlation to serum antibody titer and to clinical stages of the diease. It was, therefore, revealed that above methods are quite useful to make a diagnosis of Chlamydia trachomatis infection.

This study examined relationships between young children's behaviors and understandings of others. Subjects were 38 kindergartners. The research was conducted by the interview method. The following results were obtained. 5-year-old children that often played not only with friends in small groups, but also with classmates in other small groups attributed their friend's belief to malice. And boys that often played with classmates in other small groups attributed their friend's desires to malice. The above results suggest that the styles of behaviors in small groups may have an influence on young children's attributions to others' intentions.

This paper presents the methodology of "Fostering Integrated IT Literacy" which was tried out in the class of Information Processing Theory for the 2^<nd> grade students in the Department of Nutrition of this Junior College. The authors' considerations on the contents and effects of such trial are also presented. It is possible to utilize information in an integrated manner by linking/coordinating classes of the nutrition department with IT classes. Various ideas were tried in the classes. The effects of integrated education approach were obvious, which was further confirmed by a questionnaire survey of the students. From the survey results, typing records and papers by the students, the authors conclude that the above trial has significant effects to fostering the integrated IT literacy of the college students.

It is said that the 21 st century is the century of brain. On the other hand, it is pointed out that the infantile phenomenon is inherent in young people of today. Thereby, we sometimes think about the growth of brain. As just described, recently, it shows a growing interest in human brain. In our department of medical technology, students often spend the college life in a state of anxiety and/or of stress. With a background just described, we have been interested in a mental state of students. This time, we plan to probe it by their brain waves using digital electroencephalograph and brain wave analyzing system newly introduced in our department. In this paper, we present a part of following, brain wave and brain wave analysis, discovery science and brain wave, and a trial at the clinical physiology office of department of medical technology.

Recently the deterioration of the quality of the students in our department of medical technology has been one of the biggest problems among us. The situation in which medical technologists are placed has made a great change with the transition of social background and, as a result, the demands for better-qualified medical technologists have been increasing. This tendency, however, comes not only from the declining birthrate and the increase of the ratio of students who go on to higher education, but also from such a variety of problems as technical innovation, industrialization, and urbanization as their background. Through the data of both 'the survey of students' consciousness' I have collected for the past 13 years and the questionnaire of the same kind conducted this summer, I made a general survey of how the deterioration of students' quality has been occurring these several years. The conclusion I got from this survey is that I recognized anew the very decrease of 1) communication ability 2) endurance and 3) academic ability among the students I dealt with, compared with those of about a decade ago.

In this study, histopathological studies on helminthiasis of domestic animals in Southeast Asia and South America were performed. In fascioliasis, destructuring of liver and strong fibrinogenesis of interlobular connective tissues were found. Bile ducts were enlarged and swollen, and epithelial cell membranes in bile ducts were changed into intestinal epitherial cells (called metaplasia) that contained goblet cells and basal granular cells. These pathological features occurred in both Fasciola jaksoni and F. hepatica. In schistosomiasis, granulomas around eggs were found, and eggs were surrounded by multinucleic giant cells, where collagen fibers and inflammatory cells such as neutrophils , lymphocytes and plasma cells were infiltrated.
