We attempted to construct a practical method using SDOF model for predicting the reduction in heavy-weight floor impact sound level with the rubber ball for dry floating floor structure. The prediction formula we proposed can calculate the reduction based on the physical property values, and consists of the following three items.
・ Increasing impedance level of slab.
・ Vibration damping in the floorboard of dry floating floor.
・ Vibration reduction effect when vibration are transmitted from dry floating floor to the slab.
The predicted and measured values showed good correspondence at 63 to 500 Hz band, and high correlation (R=0.90).
In recent years, natural ventilation systems have attracted attention as an energy-saving method for cooling. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of local nonisothermal airflow generated during natural ventilation on the human body. To achieve this goal, we conducted experiments using a thermal manikin in a climate chamber. The amount of heat loss in each body segment was measured under 28 conditions corresponding to different clothes, different temperatures and airflow velocity as parameters.
