We conducted physical measurements, dietary patterns, grip strength, walking ability, and oral function surveys of residents of health care facilities for the elderly, and examined the factors associated with regular food intake. This study is a cross-sectional study. The attributes of the 73 subjects were 82.3±8.2years old, 20 males (27.4%), and 53 females (72.6%). As a result of the study divided into two groups, the habitual diet group and the morpho-adjusted diet group, BMI, TSF, and grip strength, were high and the proportion of people good chewing ability was higher in regular diet group (p<0.05). In a comparison between the three groups of walking ability, as the ability to walk decreased, and the proportion of those who consumed morphologically adjusted diets increased. These results suggest that factors related to regular food intake include maintaining oral functions such as masticatory power and maintaining tongue pressure and measuring grips strength, walking ability. In addition, as ADL declines, dietary forms tend to be softer, leading to a decline in nutritional status, suggesting that it is necessary to cooperate with multiple professions to evaluate oral function and maintain muscle strength, and to secure energy intake and protein mass in the morphologically adjusted diet group.
