Conducting the underground temperature survey in the Gotenyama landslide area and Kamenose landslide area, it was examined from various points of view that the distributed pattern of underground temperature was controlled by what factors. By the results, it was clarified that the distributed pattern was not controlled by geological and topographical factors in both landslide areas. It was ascertained that the distributed pattern was unchangeable condition in a long term according to the investigated results in the Gotenyama landslide area in 1964 and 1965. It was conjectured that the underground water existed as a factor having a constant influence upon the temperature. On the basis of the conjecture, in the Gotenyama landslide area, the electrical resistivity survey was conducted and the results were compared with the results of the underground temperature survey, and in Kamenose landslide area, the existing position of underground water vein-stream which was confirmed by various investigations was compared with the distributed pattern of underground temperature.
By the results, it was clarified that the distributed pattern of underground temperature was controlled pretty strongly by the distributing condition of underground water.
