From January 1970 to December 1973, 114 cases of colon cancers and 22 cases of benign colon diseases were examined by direct visions brushing cytology at the Cancer Institute Hospital. The results of this study are as follows:
The correct cytological diagnosis of 114 cases with colon cancers is 91.3%. The false positive cases of 22 cases without colon cancers is one case. The size of cell, nucleus and nucleolus of adenocarcinoma papillo tubulare are large and numbers of nucleoli are incre ase. The size of cell and nucleus of adenocarcinoma scirrhosum is slightly large and nuclear predominance is apparent. There is much vacuolization in the cytoplasm of adenocarcinoma muconodulare.

In making radiosensitivity tests of uterine cervical cancer, we administered a small dose of radiation, given by external irradiation of telecobalt. We forme rly used 1, 000R in 500R daily exposures. As already reported, histological changes before and after test irradiation have the most satisfactory correlations with radiation effect and prognosis.
In this paper, we discuss the possibility of cytological judgment of radiosensitivity. Vaginal smears were investigated in selected 32 cases of carcinoma colli at 7days after test irradiation. Cytologically, we have attempted to judge the radiosensitivity comparing preto posttestirradiation smears and at the same time, the radiosensitivity was judged histologically. Agreement between histological and cytological judgement of radiosensitivity were about 81%.
Cytological findings of good sensitivity by vaginal smears are as follows:
    1) Many clusters of malignant cells with leucocytes aggregation in cytoplasm.
    2) Granular accumulation and diminution of chromatins in nuclei of malignant cells.
    3) Irregularity of nuclear membrane with nuclear wrinkling. Those of poor sensitivity are existence of many unchanged viable cells and less disturbances of chromatins.

The patient was 27 year-old man has compleined of lower abdominal pain, chills and nausea after 5 days eaten raw Potamon. He was admitted to a hospital due to examination, and pointed out eosinophilia (64%), inguinal node swelling, and induration of abdominal wall, and introduced our hospital on Jan. 6. 1971.
He was treated by steroid due to suspicion of disse minated eosinophilic collagen disease, Crohn's disease or eosinophilic granuloma of soft tissue, and discharged for favorable progress on April 16. 1971.
On July 26. 1971, he was pointed out pleural effusion and readmission. The X-ray examination was revealed abnormal shadow of both lung and left pneumothorax and pleural effusion. Cytologic examination of sputum was found numerous ova of Paragonimus miyazakii, and was final diagnosis of paragonimiasis by cytology.
He was treated by Bithionol and recovered.
