Images concerned with food and dishes were investigated by using enquête way. Typical foods and dishes in Hokkaido and Japan were studied by compared to typical foods and dishes outside Hokkaido and Japan. While typical foods of Hokkaido are potato, corn, salmon and milk, typical foods outside Hokkaido are mainly fruits, such as unshu orange, apple, grape, persimmon and pear. Typical foods of Japan are rice, fish and soybean products, and then typical dishes of Japan are sashimi, sushi, tsukemono, tempura and miso soup. Typical foods and dishes outside Japan are bread, meat milk products and spaghetti, curry and rice, beef steak, salad respectively. Though there are somewhat difference fetween female and male, young and old veneration, substantial inclination seems the same.
We studied foods associated with the words related to food properties. Twenty six words which relate food texture, color, smell, taste and cooking were investigated. Tofu, tempura, persimmon, natto associated with the words "soft" "fry" "astringent" "sticky" respectively exhibite high percentage more than sixty. Lemon, sesame, slimy agaric (nameko fungi) associated with the words "soft" "fry" "astringent" "sticky" respectively exhibite high percentage more than sixty. Lemon, sesame, slimy agaric (nameko fungi) associated with the words "fragrant" "aromatic" "slippery" respectively represente low percentage reversely. However first and second order associated foods are resembling significantly in everv column, another associated foods are somewhat different.
