We show that LHC experiments might well be able to determine all the parameters required for a prediction of the present density of thermal LSP relics from the Big Bang era. If the LSP is an almost pure bino we usually only need to determine its mass and the mass of the SU(2) singlet sleptons. The only requirement to do this is that m_<l^^〜_R> < m_<χ^^〜^0_2>, which is true for most of the cosmologically interesting parameter space. If the LSP has a significant higgsino component, its predicted thermal relic density is smaller than for an equal-mass bino. We show that in this case squark decays also produce significant numbers ofχ^^〜^0_4 andχ^^〜^±_2. Reconstructing the corresponding decay cascades then allows to determine the higgsino component of the LSP.

We show Q-ball formation in the context of gauge- and gravity-mediated SUSY breaking in MSSM. In either case, Q balls can be considered as both the dark matter and the source for the baryon number of the universe simultaneously. We also show the possibility of the detection of stable Q-balls.

Late-time reheating process due to the decay of non-relativistic massive particles influences the scenario of the standard cosmology. If the matter-dominated epoch continues so long that the radiation-domination can not be realized completely at a cosmic time t≃1 sec, the universe would fail to produce the light elements. We find that the reheating temperature T_R should be greater than 0.7 MeV in order to agree with observations. If the massive particle has a branch of hadronic decay mode, the reheating temperature should be greater than 3 - 4 MeV, for the hadronic branching ratio B_h = 10^<-2> - 1. It is expected that the future satellite experiments (MAP and PLANCK) to measure anisotropies of cosmic microwave background radiation temperature can detect the vestige of the late-time entropy production as a modification of the effective number of the neutrino species N^<eff>_v.

We propose a chaotic inflation model in supergravity. In the model the Kahler potential has a Nambu-Goldstone-like shift symmetry of the inflaton chiral multiplet which ensures the flatness of the inflaton potential beyond the Planck scale. We show that the chaotic inflation naturally takes place by introducing a small breaking term of the shift symmetry in the superpotential. This may open a new branch of model building for inflationary universe in the framework of supergravity.

In this paper, we present a recent result from K2K neutrino oscillation experiment and a proposal of a future long baseline neutrino oscillation experiment in Japan. In K2K, we observed 27 neutrino events in the 22.5 kton fiducial volume of the Super-Kamiokande (SK) detector, while the expected number is estimated to be 40.3^<+4.7>_<-4.6> in the case of no oscillation. K2K will run in anather few years and will accumurate about 200 expected events. A new long baseline neutrino oscillation experiment is proposed in Japan with the new JHF accelaratror and with the SK detector. The experiment is sensitive to the oscillation parameters: Δm^2_<23> with an accuracy of 2×10^<-4> (eV/c)^2, sin^2 2θ_<μ→X> with an accuracy of 〜 0.01, and sin^2 2θ_<μ→e> below 1% in five years.

The quark mixing matrix V_<CKM> is studied in depth on the basis of superstring inspired SU(6)×SU(2)_R model with global flavor symmetries. The sizable mixings between right-handed down-type quark D^c and colored Higgs field g^c potentially occur but no such mixings in up-type quark sector. In the model the hierarchical pattern of V_<CKM> is understood systematically. It is shown that due to large D^c-g^c mixings V_<ub> is naturally suppressed compared to V_<td>. It is pointed out that the observed suppression of V_<ub> is in favor of the presence of SU(2)_R gauge symmetry but not in accord with generic SU(5) GUT.

We propose a texture of three generation Majorana-type neutrino mass matrix in terms of only two parameters which gives rise to nearly bi-maximal mixing angles. We also demonstrate an explicit realization of such type of neutrino mass-matrix in the context of an SU(2)_L×U(1)_Y model due to higher dimensional mass terms through the inclusion of discrete Z_3×Z_4 symmetry and two extra singlet Higgs fields.
