Using three formulas, the Planck distribution, the Planck one including the Sunyaev-Zeldovich (S-Z) effect, and a modified Planck distribution calculated by Tsallis et al., we analyze the data by the Cosmic Microwave Background Explorer (COBE). From our analyses, we have found that differences between formulas with the S-Z effect and the non-extensiveity introduced by Tsallis at each data points are very small. Then to understand mathematical similar structures, we decompose two formulas in each terms and find the similarities among them.

We propose an effective field theory (EFT) of nuclear matter in the moderate density region. In such region, the effect of nucleon is introduced as the fluctuation near the Fermi surface, and the EFT is a natural extension of the heavy baryon chiral perturbation theory (HBChPT). We briefly show its construction and the density dependence of the pion decay constant in the nuclear medium.

We discuss the relation between the effective vector meson mass and equation of state (EOS) for nuclear matter. In the mean field approximation, the EOS becomes softer due to the reduction of the effective ω-meson mass, if we assume that the ω-meson mean field is proportional to the baryon density. We examine the assumption by using the auxiliary field method at finite temperature and /or density.
