We analyze a gauge-Higgs unification model which is based on a gauge theory defined on a six-dimensional spacetime with an S^2 extra-space. In our approach, we impose a symmetry condition for a gauge field and non-trivial boundary conditions of the S^2. We provide the scheme for constructing a four-dimensional theory from the six-dimensional gauge theory under these conditions. We then construct a concrete model based on an SO(12) gauge theory under the scheme. This model leads to a Standard-Model(-like) gauge theory which has gauge symmetry SU(3)×SU(2)_L×U(1)_Y(×U(1)^2) and one generation of SM fermions, in four-dimensions. The Higgs sector of the model is also analyzed, and it is shown that the electroweak symmetry breaking and the prediction of W-boson and Higgs-boson masses are obtained.

The OPERA experiment is aimed at observing ν_μ to ν_τ oscillation by detecting appearance of ν_τ interactions. OPERA detector is located in Gran Sasso Laboratory (LNGS) underground experimental hall. Muon neutrinos fly from CERN to LNGS (CNGS) about 730km, are expected to be oscillating to tau neutrino about 2% in fraction at the ΔM^2_<23> of 2.4×10^<-3>eV^2. The signal of neutrino oscillation by appearance of tau neutrino charge current interactions will be detected by Emulsion Cloud Chamber (here after ECC). An ECC is composed of 56 lead plate and 57 nuclear emulsion film in sandwich structure and its size is 12.5×10×8 in cm and weight 8.3kg. The neutrino exposure of year 2008 was that of the first year with full target (150,000 ECCs〜1300 ton) installation, collecting about 1700 neutrino interactions in ECC targets and its analysis is going on. The status of OPERA experiment is described here.

The final goal of XMASS experiment aims at the direct dark matter, the solar neutrinos from pp and ^7Be and neutrino less double beta decay with ton scale fiducial volume of liquid xenon detector. In the current stage, we focus on the the direct detection of dark matter in the form of WIMPs (Weakly Interacting Massive Particles) via their elastic scattering off Xenon nuclei with 800kg detector at Kamioka in Japan. XMASS 800kg detector will achieve a sensitivity more than two order of magnitude beyond current limits of WIMP-nucleus cross section to reach 10^<-45>cm^2 for the spin independent case. The status of experiment will be review and discussed here.

We show that the PAMELA anomaly in the positron fraction as well as the ATIC/PPB-BETS excesses in the e^-+e^+ flux are simultaneously explained in our scenario that a hidden U(1)_H gauge boson constitutes dark matter of the Universe and decays into the standard-model particles through a kinetic mixing with an U(1)_<B-L> gauge boson. Interestingly, the B-L charge assignment suppresses an antiproton flux in consistent with the PAMELA and BESS experiments, while the hierarchy between the B-L symmetry breaking scale and the weak scale naturally leads to the right lifetime of O(10^<26>) seconds.

We study baryons and baryonic matter in holographic QCD with D4/D8/<D8>^^^- multi-D brane system in type IIA superstring theory. We also compare our results with those of a model in the flat space like the hidden local symmetry approach, and show that the curved extra-dimension largely changes the roles of (axial) vector mesons for the baryons.

The ATLAS and CMS experiments at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) may discover the squarks (q^^~) and gluino (g^^~) of the minimal supersymmetric standard model (MSSM) in the early stage of the experiments if their masses are lighter than 1.5TeV. In this talk we propose the sub-system m_<T2> variable (m^_<T2>), which is sensitive to the gluino mass when m_q^^~ > m_g^^~. Using it with the inclusive m_<T2> distribution, q^^~ and g^^~ masses can be determined simultaneously in the early stage of the experiments. Results of Monte Carlo simulations at sample MSSM model points are presented. This talk is based on Ref.

Current limit on the dark matter relic abundance may suggest that |μ| should be smaller than prediction in the minimal supergravity scenario (mSUGRA) for moderate m_0 and m_<1/2>. The electroweak-ino parameter M_1, M_2 and |μ| are then much closer to each other. This can be realized naturally in the non-universal Higgs mass model (NUHM). In the light slepton mass scenario with non-vanishing lepton-flavor violation (LFV) in the right-handed sector, this corresponds to region of paramter space where strong cancellation among leading contributions to Br(μ→eγ) can occur. Since the heaviest neutralino (χ^^~^0_4) and chargino (χ^^~^pm_2) have significant gaugino components, they may appear frequently in the left-handed squark decay and then be detectable at the LHC. In such a case, we showed that the hierarchy of M_1, M_2 and |μ| can be determined and it plays a crucial role in resolving cancellation point of Br(μ→eγ) and determination of LFV parameters. We also discuss test of the universality of the slepton masses at the LHC and the implications to SUSY flavor models.

In the Littlest Higgs model with T-parity, we study production processes of new gauge bosons at the international linear collider (ILC). Through Monte Carlo simulations of the production processes, we show that the heavy gauge boson masses can be determined very accurately at the ILC for a representative parameter point of the model. From the simulation result, we also discuss the determination of other model parameters at the ILC.
