We present results obtained in N_f=2 lattice QCD with nonperturbatively O(a) improved Wilson fermions on 16^3 -8 lattice. The transition temperature at <m_π>/<m_ρ>≈0.8 on a fine lattice with r_0/a=4.4 is determined. It is found that the use of abelian projection after fixing MA gauge makes possible more precise determination of the critical temperature(T_c). We also study monopole dynamics and compare it with that in the quenched theory.

We describe a new mechanism for reheating the universe through evaporation of a surface of inflatonic solitons fragmented from its condensate. We show that for a range of yukawa coupling of the inflaton to the matter sector evaporation gives rise to a much smaller reheat temperature compared to the standard perturbative decay. As a consequence, reheating through a surface could solve the gravitino and moduli over production problem in inflationary models without fine tuning the coupling between the inflaton and other fields.

We propose a scenario which can explain large lepton asymmetry and small baryon asymmetry simultaneously. Large lepton asymmetry is generated through the Affleck-Dine (AD) mechanism and almost all the produced lepton numbers are absorbed into Q-balls (L-balls). If the lifetime of the L-balls is longer than the onset of electroweak phase transition but shorter than the epoch of big bang nucleosynthesis (BBN), the large lepton asymmetry in the L-balls is protected from sphaleron effects. On the other hand, small (negative) lepton numbers are evaporated from the L-balls due to thermal effects, which are converted into the observed small baryon asymmetry by virtue of sphaleron effects. Large and positive lepton asymmetry of electron type is often requested from BBN. In our scenario by choosing an appropriate flat direction in the minimal supersymmetric standard model, we can produce positive lepton asymmetry of the electron type but totally negative lepton asymmetry.

In the SU(2)_L×U(1)_Y standard electroweak theory coupled with the Einstein gravity, new topological configurations naturally emerge, if the spatial section of the universe is globally a three-sphere (S^3) with a small radius. The SU(2)_L gauge fields wrap the space nontrivially, producing homogeneous but anisotropic space. As the universe expands, large electric and magnetic fields are produced. The electromagnetic field configuration is characterized by the Hopf map.
