     A statistical model for number of tsunami fires was estimated. In this model, the number of tsunami fires is assumed to be Poisson distribution and its parameter λ is modeled by using the generalized linear mixed model. The model estimation was based on the data of ignitions after the 2011 Tohoku Earthquake which has been investigated by Japan Association for Fire Science and Engineering. The estimated model was applied to the previous damage estimation for Nankai Trough Earthquake in order to represent a way of predicting the number of tsunami fires caused by the future tsunamis.

     Phase change material has a large thermal capacity. This thermal capacity is effective in keeping heat load more flat. I analyzed thermal flow of phase change materials by finite difference method and thermal flow of normal building materials by response factor method. Room temperature fluctuation is calculated combined method. And the theories were compared with experimental values. As a result, the calculated value is well according to experimental value. These theories were incorporated into a heat load calculation program LESCOM developed by the author. The simulation of application of the system to factory has also shown that the system contributed substantiality to increased room temperature. In conclusion, the walls with built-in PCM bag have been found to be effective in heating load reduction.

     This research aims to quantify the relationship between airborne algal growth/death on the exterior walls of the building and environmental factors such as surface temperature and humidity. Based on this, the study proposes a prediction model for the algal growth, where the algal growth was evaluated as algal cell number. The proposed model was used to simulate the change in algal cell number (growth and/or death), taking into consideration the temperature, humidity, and incident solar radiation. Results indicate that the algal growth rate agreed well with the measured L* value (brightness).

     In this study, as the prerequisites for countermeasure of the dew condensation, in order to identify locations and frequency of dew condensation, the estimation of dew condensation on all wall and window in commercial buildings was conducted by TRNSYS simulation coupled with TRNFLOW. The airtightness and the thermal insulation property affect on dew condensation, accordingly the dew condensation risk evaluation with different airtightness and different thermal insulation property was performed. The dew condensation risk was calculated by using dew condensation risk evaluation index proposed by the authors in previous studies.

     Validation of Large Eddy Simulation based on a Finite Volume Method was undertaken using data from our previous experiment. Four schemes for convection-term discretization were tested on a momentum transport equation, a passive scalar transport equation and an active scalar transport equation. The results support the use of a low-dissipation scheme for the momentum transport equation to avoid overestimating circulation on a rooftop. Such overestimation of circulation can lead to an underestimation of concentrations behind the building. Conversely, a bounded scheme, even in cases that resulted in excess numerical dissipation, is preferred for each scalar transport equation to maintain a profile and peak concentration value.

     This paper presents the actual living condition and energy consumption for household and daily routine moving in Inami Town, Wakayama Pref. as the target in typical betwixt mountainous through the questionnaire survey. Also the model households for the purpose of evaluating CO2 reduction effect of low-carbon measures were constructed based on the information obtained from the survey. According to the questionnaire survey, most of seniors around forestry area feel difficulty in daily life and half of them wish to migrate. Concerning the energy consumption, household only seniors around forestry area consume more primary energy due to characteristics of traditional farmhouse, non-electrified heating and so on. CO2 emissions per capita which was estimated based on the questionnaire survey, Inami Town compared with the Osaka City as the target in typical urban area, it become about 30% increase from household sector and about 5 times increase from daily routine moving sector. From the point of view of energy consumption and CO2 reductions, it will be affirmative determination that the elderly of betwixt mountainous regions to emigrate to population concentration district.

     This study aimed to analyze LCA errors caused by the utilization of background data with a focus on: 1) errors caused by using different databases and 2) errors in database preparation and background data selection. The former analysis, where CO2 emission intensities of housing were calculated and compared, showed that CO2 emissions using AIJ-LCA (average) were up to 1.5 times as large as when using IDEA. Regarding the latter, error coefficients of variation (Cv) caused by data quality were calculated. The Cvs ranged from 0.1 to 0.7. This suggests using caution when interpreting building LCA results.

     This study examined problems which occur at the construction of medium to large wood buildings, and I clarified the role of the wood coordinator expected as the solution.
     There are following problems. One is of timber procurement that
     1, A large amount of wood is required at a time.
     2, The standards of different wood used.
     3, Short delivery time. The other one is the restrictions concerning the refractory.
     The role of the wood coordinators is to support procurement based on the wood information in the area when there is designation of regional materials.
