With the use of the effective moment method, we calculate magnetic moments of light hypernuclei, assuming shell model wave functions with good isospin. The following systems are investigated ; [I] X-n-Y and X-p-Y systems, [II] X-d-Y systems, [III] X-t-Y and X-^3He-Y systems, and [IV] X-α-Y systems, where X and Y denote a nuclear core and hyperon, respectively. The results with X=^4He and Y=Λ are compared with the theoretical values obtained by T. Motoba et al. using the three-cluster [α-x-Λ] model (x=n, p, d, t, ^3He or α). Dynamical effects on hypernuclear magnetic moments are also discussed using the configuration mixing theory.

We construct an anomaly-free formulation of the chiral gauge theories in the framework of the canonical quantization in time-dependent external fields. The time-evolved particle picture is introduced in the Heisenberg picture and its Fock states are represented in terms of the initial ones by requiring that the Fock state at a time is specified only by objects at that time. The vacuum-to-vacuum amplitude is defined by means of the time-evolved Fock states and so it is gauge invariant. We express the amplitude in the path integral form and compare with that of the perturbation theory. A difference is the existence of the holonomy part which appears to keep the phase convention of the time-evolved Fock states. As explicit examples we take a quantum mechanical model with the monopole bundle and the two-dimensional SU (2) chiral gauge theory with a special configuration of external fields and this situation is made clear. We discuss also a perturbative treatment of the anomaly-free formulation briefly. This paper is a revised version of Ref. 1) for the application for Soryiishi-Shyogakkai.
