Currently, the need to promote micro-tourism trips in the Tama region is being discussed. This study conducted an implementation survey based on the case of Sanko Jidosha Corporation, which provides customizable travel and cab tailor-made tours in the Tama region. Based on the results of this survey, we propose a method to guarantee the quality of highly personalized services by following cab drivers through a photo submission application and a method to provide a new customer experience in historical buildings using an AR camera. These proposals will be developed as a single application and evaluated for emotional change and safety when offered to customers who actually use the service.

Visually impaired people have difficulty going shopping alone, but they wish to go shopping. When they go shopping alone, they have problems such as being unable to find products, colliding with shoppers and product shelves, and getting lost. There is a case of using ICT technology as previous research to support shopping for visually impaired people. These examples are not realistic because of the large scale and high cost of the equipment. Therefore, we investigated ways to easily create support tools at low cost. We analyzed the problems that occur when visually impaired people shop, and examined whether existing DX could solve these problems. In this paper, we propose a support system that enables visually impaired people to shop alone.

The lead-user method is often used in product development. This is a method in which development is conducted together with users called lead users. Because lead users are rare, there are many ways to search for them, but in this study, we focus on two types of users, positive and negative extreme users. We are concerned about the focus on only positive extreme users in existing research, and will compare positive and negative ones. The research method is to compare the subjects' idea through interviews with each extreme user against the lead user search time and idea innovativeness. Results will provide insight into companies' adoption of the lead user method.

University entrance exam candidates who study on their own in self-study rooms do more than just study. They feign solitary study, remain attentive to their surroundings, and take brief breaks while staying aware of their environment. Traditionally, these behaviors have been interpreted as a lack of concentration or simple breaks. In this study, I reframe these actions as forms of performance and demonstrate how adopting a performative approach facilitates self-study for those who are not fully engaged in the process. I have developed a conceptual framework to categorize the behaviors of university entrance exam candidates in self-study environments and have explored the reasons behind their preference for self-study rooms over studying at home.

Patents in pharmaceutical companies are the result of R&D investment, and can be regarded as one of the indicators that represent the results of exploratory research for the creation of new drugs, as well as reflect the company's strategy for the technological domain. Therefore, if patent documents are quantified, it is possible not only to objectively grasp the degree of concentration or expansion of technological fields, but also to make comparisons between companies. In this study, we attempted to visualize the transition of the technological domain of Japanese, European, and American pharmaceutical companies by quantifying the technology travel distance using vector expressions extracted from patent abstracts.

It is observed that a first mover consumer generated media (CGM) with many users and contents loses its competitive advantage due to the entry of latecomer. In this study, we focus on why contributors change CGM to post from the first mover to the newcomer. Because image quality and photographic technology are progressing, it can be considered that users may feel stale to existing contents of the first mover compared to the contents recently posted. We targeted the recipe website market and discussed the framework for analyzing the factors affecting the decision to choose a CGM to post.

While we were able to verify that the traditional sales approach in adaptive selling is helpful in determining the adaptability of salesperson in terms of satisfying customer needs at a high level, we also found that in terms of purchase decision-making factors, the "time responsiveness" and "organizational business drive" to customers are also important.

Organizations are confronted with challenging decision-making processes in today's ambiguous society. This paper utilizes a web survey to examine whether the decision-making tendencies of an organization can be observed based on two factors: the size of the group and its lifetime. The results reveal that larger groups tend to prioritize immediate profits more readily, while longer lifetime groups are more prone to encountering difficulties in resolving issues, often leading to prolonged decision-making periods. Additionally, we discuss how to prevent decision failures.

The concept of human capital management is increasingly capturing the interest of businesspeople for its potential to foster competitive advantages. In Japan, human capital management details need to be included in the annual financial report. However, the extraction of such information from the extensive array of reports is not easy. This study tries to retrieve this information from financial reports of the U.S. companies, where the disclosure of the information is already compulsory. In the experiment, we employed the BERT model and showed more than 70% accuracy. It is conceivable to attain greater accuracy levels with further refining the training data.

Anonymized personal information means information relating to an individual is masked so that specific individuals cannot be identified, and such personal information cannot be restored. By converting personal information to anonymized one, organizations can promote the utilization of personal data, including data transactions and data linkage among businesses, under certain rules and without the consent of the individuals. However, it is difficult to say that anonymized personal information is being utilized because it is unclear how much processing is required to meet the standards required by the law. In this study, we conduct a questionnaire survey of car owners to analyze the degree to which they are aware of the privacy issues concerning their anonymized personal information.

As Japan enters the hyper-ageing society, the need to address various population-related issues is a pressing concern. In particular, the increasing social security costs and labor shortages that will result from the hyper-ageing society with a declining birth rate will affect various industries that support the social infrastructure. To cope with such a situation, discussions on human capital management as a source of corporate competitiveness have been developed.

In this study, we first focus on young people, who will be the human capital of the future. And, after confirming the health awareness of young people, we discuss how to improve the health literacy of undergraduate students, who will be the members of society in the future, through a competition.

In recent years, many game-based learning programs have been introduced. In the field of business administration, many business games with sequential decision making, where each decision may change the player's environment and the decisions of other players, are difficult to reproduce the game history, making it difficult to conduct appropriate reflections.

In this study, we take "MG Online" as a game with sequential decision making and present the teaching materials developed to record its practice. We show that players themselves can reconfirm the rules and look back on the management strategies and decisions set up in advance by recording their own practices, and that teachers can also check the level of understanding of their students.

In this paper, we introduce teaching material for implementing MRP (Material Requirement Planning) on IDES (Internet Demonstration and Evaluation System), an education and training system designed for learning the functions and processes of the ERP package "SAP ERP" provided by SAP SE. The feature of this material is that students execute MRP for their own products. To implement MRP, it is necessary to register key data such as items, BOM (Bill of Materials), work centers, and routings in IDES. Students will deepen their understanding of MRP and ERP systems through the registration of item masters and other data.

Several empirical studies have pointed to the effectiveness of DX for competitive advantage. However, it is not clear what capabilities required for the information system departments to drive DX, and what impact those capabilities will have on driving DX and gaining competitive advantage. This study defines the capabilities required for the information system departments and designs the factor structure model that assumes the causal relationships between these competencies and the gaining of competitive advantage through the drive for DX.

Or is the main impact human enhancement (with AI assistance)? And how are these boundaries determined? Answers to such questions are expected. Generative AI is currently under development and it is not appropriate to make a quick decision. However, it is time to have a certain way of thinking about these questions. There is also a concern that if you are preoccupied with using ChatGPT, you may get an unexpected backlash. Based on this recognition of the problem, I will consider and report on the boundary model between humans and machines, the scenario when change occurs, and the relationship with human creativity.

First, we investigate defects of Business Model Canvas. We divide business models into three perspectives. And, we propose the way to construct business model from the combination of elements of each perspective, in order to create the optimum business model efficiently. To examine and construct business model for DX (Digital Transformation), we consider long- or medium-term management plan in grand design phase of DX. Then, we propose Business Model Accomplishment Diagram that describes the causal relationship between the elements of business model and can explain the reason for business model success. We release our framework under Creative Commons license.

Product sales in supermarkets are affected by a variety of external factors. One of the key insights in marketing is to infer the impact of these external factors from sales information and to determine the sensitivity to various factors. In this study, based on food sales data in supermarkets over a five-year period from 2018, we attempted to classify products by the degree of influence of external factors such as COVID-19 by using STL decomposition to isolate seasonal variations and residual components and clustering these components. The results shows that there are some products that were significantly affected by external factors. These product-specific characteristics can be expected to provide useful information for future marketing and sales strategies.
