This study aims at providing a simple prototype Spatial Computable General Equilibrium (SCGE) model with a Nested Constant Elasticity of Substitution (NCES) system. The SCGE model developed here is based on the Global Trade Models, one of the most important applications of the Computable General Equilibrium (CGE) model. The NCES system is obtained by nesting a series of CES functions, which is useful to describe various levels of elasticities of substitution between different kinds of goods in the same category. The SCGE model is formulated in the way that a Newton-Raphson method can be used in its process of equilibrating prices. Thus, the resultant model may be operational and provide a generalization of the traditional interregional Input-Output analysis.

This method is suited for adjusting the network solution for such cases as the GPS or level survey, in which all measurement data are defined in the form of differences between unknown parameters.

The purpose of this paper is clarifying tha plan of making Capital Nanking (building the Capital of China) which was planned and executed from 1927 to 1936 as one of the major city plannings in the modern age of China by Studying historical materials, additionally giving some ideas to the city planning of Tokyo in future.
The plan of making Capital Nanking had been studied by the Committee for Building Capital led by Son Ka. In April 1930, the committee made general image of the city as the most important factor of city planning. It was called “Garden City-Like, Simply Old-Fashioned and Solemn plan of the Capital”. At the same time, other major plans such as utilization of the land, Bloks plan, greening the streets and the parks were decided.
The unique points was that greenbelt of the park were connected by the circular roads called Kanjo Daido and radial roads called Rinin Daido. Consequently, this planwere made by the main points of the new urbanstructur called “Big Blocks”.
By clarification as mentioned above that this plan was made based on the “ParkSystem” which was the thought of city planning setting value on the park, it should be proposed that city planning in modern age of China was of importance in the history of that in the world.

The purpose of this paper is to propose an evaluation method for measuring performance levels of alternate routes on highway networks. A mathematical model, called “Redundancy Index”, is defined between given pairs of nodes. It is intended to indicate the performance levels of alternate routes which are used when some part of the highway network is damaged. An efficient algorithm is developed for its computation. Empirical studies are presented by applying this index to regional highway networks in Hokkaido and Yamaguchi prefecture and the applicability of this method is described.

The economic impacts in a region that are measured by intraregional input-output analysis aren't the same result as it that is measured by interregional input-output analysis. We pay attention to that matter, and discuss the factor why the economic impacts that are measured by two methods aren't equal each to each. In the result, we present a supplementary condition to become equal to the intraregional input-output analysis and interregional input-output analysis. and discuss the relation between economic scale and spatial aggregation bias.

In order to improve the visibility of road markings with convexities it is important to increase the reflected light from a part of slope of convexities and to decrease a part of shadow behind them. This study deals with investigating the principle of the retro-reflection from the markings with convexities. The obtained results are summarized as follows: firstly convexities do not always improve the visibility of the markings, secondly the shape of a convexity affects the retro-reflective luminance, thirdly the optimum interval among convexities depends on the visibility distance of drivers, and finally the retro-refrective luminance from the markings with ramdomly placed convexities in the range from about 70 to 80% of it with uniformly placed them.

This paper proposes a model for predicting the speed/acceleration profiles of the car platoon leader departing from a signaled intersection along with the ebgine operation profile. The model consists of the subsystem representing the machanical properties of the vehicle, and some element representing the human roles in driving a car. The proposed model provides resonable predictions and the basis for future development of follower model in order to predict noise/exhaust gas generation.

The authors have proposed a method for the evaluation of train scheduling plans by making use of computer. This report is an application of the method to railway lines in reality. The authors selected the Den'en-toshi and Shin-tamagawa lines of Tokyu Corporation. The demand on the lines is forecast to increase. Additional two tracks are planned, but will not be constructed until 2003 AD.. A lot of attention is directed to the improvement of train scheduling as an effective measure for relieving congestion before the completion of the large investment on the infrastructure. In this report, three diagram plans are evaluated from various viewpoints such as total users' benefit, equality, and platform congestion for safety.

In this paper, forms and dimensions of noise barrier which is able to reduce not only road traffic noise but also wind load placed on a bridge is investigated. Through one-fourth scale model experiments in anechoic room, it was concluded that louver made of steel must be covered with absorptive materials of 1cm thickness and the intervals of its members must be less than 50cm in order to get enough noise reduction. And the scale model tests in two dimensional wind tunnel indicated that the proposed noise barrier decreased the amount of wind load to about 60%.
