Since the pouring temperature will affect the run-off of the melting ash, the heat resistance of reactor wall materials and the heat-loss from the reactor, it is a very important factor for plannning, designing and maintaining the melting system.
On the other hand, the moisture content, the calorific value and the organic matter content of the sludge greatly affect the auxiliary fuel consumption since the sludge melting system is operated at a high temperature. Operation of melting system is greatly affected by sewage sludge characteristics.
This study shows the relationship between the chracteristics of the sludge and the auxiliary fuel consumption of the coke bed system. The results will be used for the design, operation and maintenance of the melting system.
