    The combination of exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) and water emulsion fuel can be examined as a countermeasure technique of the 3rd International Maritime Organization (IMO) regulation. The exhaust gas by the vessel diesel contains much SOx and particulate matter (PM) , so EGR is required for the scrubber. However, the wastewater generated after scrubber treatment must be treated. Therefore, this study is the development of a combustion system of the emulsified fuel mixed EGR treatment water generated after scrubber treatment and EGR. The following conclusions are drawn from this study. NOx concentration has been reduced by the increased EGR rate. However, when the EGR rate exceeded 20%, the fuel consumption rate got worse rapidly. The combination of a 20% EGR rate and the emulsified fuel mixed EGR treatment water improved fuel consumption by about 5.7% and decreased NOx concentration by about 70% and PM concentration by about 65% at the same time.
