When the project manager faces the difficulties and absurd situations during the project, he or she would suffer from the relevant stress and discord. The excessive stress damages the mental health of stakeholders including the project manager, and thus can damage the project itself. There are two ways to solve such problem. One is to scientifically study the way to minimize the outbreak of the problem and apply it to the project. Another is to accept the stress as an unavoidable thing and establish the heart and mind that would minimize the effect of the stress. In this paper, I will treat the latter as the theme. For that reason, I sought for the words of Buddha and philosophers efficient to the project management, and examined the way of thinking that would help the project manager's activities. If the project manger could maintain the proper mental state and cooperate with stakeholders, the mental health of the stakeholders including the project manager would also be maintained properly. As a result, their skills and abilities would be used sufficiently, bringing the best result to the project.

Market area models are often used for a model of marketing. The Huff Model is well known as a typical model. It models the probability regarding consumers' selection of a certain shopping street, i.e., their choice of one from many. However, I wonder whether consumers' attraction to a supermarket can be determined by the Huff Model exclusively. The purpose of this thesis is to propose a forecasting model:the amount of sales based on analysis of consumers' preference concerning the characteristics and the scale of a supermarket. It is difficult to get a quantitative evaluation from field data, and several multivariate analytical methods were used as statistical approaches. Based on the results of the analyses of supermarket characteristics, several conditions were enumerated. Then, conjoint analysis was used for clarification of consumer preferences in selection of a supermarket. The results of the analyses confirmed that consumers preferred a supermarket that had ease of access and resonable prices. They were also influenced by rival supermarkets.

In order to build a mutual relationship with Asian countries in the long-term benefits, it is desirable to strengthen and support local subsidiary companies. This is why collaborations must be set up centered on local subsidiary companies for research and development in conjunction with local universities and research institutions. It is also effective to have personnel exchange between Japanese companies and local research institutions for long-term research based on clear target. Potential exists in the following four areas for technical research and development collaborations with Asian countries. (1)Improve the efficacy of mass production in Asia;(2)Create new business that meets the needs of Asia;(3)Create environmentally friendly business;(4)Start common and basic technologies that will support industrial activities.

It is very important to carry risk management well, because every project has risks by nature. The PMBOK(a Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge)describes a chapter of risk management. But this chapter shows only an outline, because the PMBOK treats many kind of projects. In this reason, it is very difficult to adopt this chapter to software development project as it is. On the other hand, some literatures discuss risk management on software development project. But, they are not based on the system of the PMBOK, because these origins are different. In this study, we summarize these risk management systems from the viewpoint of PDCA cycle and discuss how should be in software development project. As a result, we extract some additional points that are not described in PMBOK. And we find the following issues:the necessity of develop a new method which can identify risks without remains;the differences in processes of risk quantification and risk response control between planning phase and development phase;the necessity to incorporate the risk management processes into other development processes;and the necessity to reduce workload.
