Securing the quality in the upstream process, especially securing the quality of design is indispensable to make the system development succeed. The quality of design was secured by executing an appropriate design review. We considered the technique for quantitatively evaluating the quality of the review in addition to evaluating the point of review. The quality of design is evaluated by the indicator of the review, the setting of the target value, and the achievement degree to the target value, and it is possible to reflect it in the development process.

Nowadays it has become difficult for a Systems Integrator to build a computer system using only the company's products. Therefore solutions that apply business partners' products are being popular. However, the partners do not always disclose their products' internal architecture and specifications. As a result, problems occur, and in some cases, a large amount of time is required to determine the causes and take measures, and this can become an inconvenience to customers. We clearly defined a quality management process of clarifying the risks from applying partners' products and planning in advance, and developed a support system that manages quality information of partners' products.

Some researchers propose to use the quality function deployment (QFD) as a tool for building the customer requirements into projects. The first step of QFD is to prepare customer requirements. However, customer requirements are often unclear at the early stages of projects. The author thus proposed to use a task analysis to extract the unclear customer requirements and combine the task analysis and QFD. In this paper, the outline of the task analysis, combination of task analysis and QFD, and a measurement method for quality elements with measurement difficulty are described. A practical example of the presented method is also reported.
