We designed a case method introducing personae to promote young managers' reflective learning based on the experiential learning theory, executed it, and evaluated it's effect on the participants' internal changes quantitatively and quantitatively. Reflective learning refers to not only the participants' reflecting upon their management behavior, but also they becoming enlightened about new directions to challenge they might take, that is, to acquire a new frame of reference. The direct goal of the training is not the change of the participants' workplace practice but their internal change that will impact on the practice. The internal changes as mediating factor to the impact on the practice were reflection on one's own management behavior, finding new directions that one can strive to take, and developing the motivation towards the future role. In the method, two virtual senior project managers (personae) with different approaches regarding a particular case were presented to the participants. Participants were required to compare the personae's management behavior to their own and to discuss the strengths and weakness of each persona's behavior. The evaluation showed that the participants well reflected upon their conventional experience, found behavioral and cognitive directions to challenge and acquired good motives to extend their managerial role.
