The Doushi Bridge, a deck-type steel 2-hinge arch bridge, has box section arch ribs and I-section stiffening girders. The local stress concentration in panel point connecting the vertical member with stiffening girder is due to the difference of horizontal displacement between arch rib and stiffening girder. The influence of the bridge vibration with the local stress in gusset plate is discussed.

The exact electrically charged BTZ black hole solutions to the Einstein-Maxwell equations in 2+1 spacetime dimensions with a negative cosmological constant is discussed assuming a (anti-) self dual condition between the electromagnetic fields. In a coordinate condition there appears a logarithmic divergence in the angular momentum at spatial infinity. It is shown how it is to be regularized by taking the contribution from the boundary into account. Another coordinate condition which leads to a finite angular momentum is presented though it brings about a peculiar spacetime topology.

There are many Pi pulsations in magnetosphere. We think that the magnetospheric cavity resonance process is affected by the change in the Alfven speed distribution. We carry out the numerical calculation to make sure our ideas in one dimensional model. We calculate the frequency of the wave in magnetosphere in some cae of the magnetopause perturbations. And we concluded that many conditions of the magnetosphere and the situations of the perturbations give the influence to the Pc waves.

Toward the end of the Pacific War, Japanese Navy built 189 escort vessels. These escorts engaged in guarding the merchant marines which sailed from oversea territories against US submarine attacks. Almost all escorts were lost during the war, but out of all Japanese imperial vessels only SHIGA still survives at Chiba City. SHIGA, changed her duty and her name to KOJIMA, had taken the role as a community center until 1993. Now it is said that she is going to be scrapped.
