Many kinds of fish are the target of fishing. Commonly the fishing method is different according to the kind of fish. The fishing methods depend fundamentally as the habit of fish. Further, the fishing methods are considered by synthesizing requirements, such as place, tide, fishing tackle, and seasons. For this reason, although there are about 30 kinds of fishing now, these are mixed together to make mamy other fishing methods. The fewer one is good although these numbers are a few compared with about 100 of the number of target fish. In the book of fishing, the operation of fishing talks only about the fish classification and there is no explanation of the operation as a whole. So, we analyzed the fishing methods of freshwater fish, which broke down into basic operation guideline. On the basic of these, this paper reports about the fishing methods classified newly by the unified standard.

In this paper we describe development and verification of fish habitat evaluation method applied individual based model. We developed computer software reappeared fish school behavior. We calculated time series data of fish school redius that indicated expanse of fish school from each fish position data. In verification of individual based model, we compared computational results with experimental one, used power spectrum of fish school radius. The results have confirmed the certain extent reliability of the model.

Learning of the way of communication is being taught in senior high schools as one of the part of English lessons in the school curriculum. In the textbooks used in both junior high school and senior high schools, communication strategies are used especially in the materials of dialog or conversation. In this paper, seventeen textbooks being now used in high schools throughout the country are analyzed from the points of how the CS (communication strategies, in short) are dealt with in the course of lessons. This is the 4th and final edition of the series of studies concerning communication strategies taught at school education in Japan. The first paper covered how CS has been studied to adjust itself in school curriculum. In the second paper the junior high school textbooks were analyzed from the point of CS. The third examined the entrance examinations to high schools on the view of the CS questions in each test.

It is said that the most important part of learning a foreign language is learning vocabulary. The top-down, naturalistic and communicative approaches, which have put great emphasis on implicit, incidental learning of vocabulary, teach us the importance of directing students to recognize clues in context and to infer word meaning from context. Guessing is the primary vocabulary skill in these approaches. It seems to have much to do with students' motivation to learn English as well. It is natural that students learning English should encounter unknown words at a great rate. What should they do if they encounter unknown words while reading books in English ? They may very well try to guess the meanings of unknown words. It is our inclination to try to probe the unknown and guessing is a natural process of our thinking, which gives us a sense of achievement and satisfaction if it is successful. In this paper, the author points out that "learner autonomy" for learning English might be fostered in students' minds through guessing. He believes that students will come to challenge new reading materials on their own some day when they are given enough training for guessing as one of learning strategies, while enjoying it as a soft of game activity in class.

This study was undertaken to examine the average scores of long distance running made by the students of Kisarazu National College of Technology and to prepare the standards for evaluation in the class. Six categories in the boy students and three categories in the girl students were made respectively. The scores of each student were given rankings according to the five grade evaluation system which was prepared based on the average scores and the standard deviation.

The purpose of this study is to make a software which can be used to deal with data processing for the track and field athletic events. The data used in the processing software is taken from the results of the preliminary of the national high-school athletic meet held in Chiba in 2000. The software is dependent largely upon the spreadsheet software, Excel 98 in the part of the original skeleton. The software was examined three times in 2000. As the result of introducing the software, the following four are prominent effects. (1) Dealing with the results and records is easier. (2) Data processing is shorter in time. (3) The number of input errors is decreased. (4) The necessary staffs for data processing are reduced.

The computer system in the multimedia laboratory of Kisarazu National College of Technology was renewed in March,2001. The laboratory had been used as language laboratory (LL) until 1996, and then a computer system was introduced in the room. Although the Apple computers, the Macintosh operating system, had been used in the computer system in the multimedia laboratory before this renewal, Windows 2000 computers were introduced to the new computer system. In this paper, the characteristics of this computer system and the issues from the points of troubles in using the system are described with observation or analysis.
