The elastic properties of plate which was laminated in such a way as the elastic axes of consisting layer plates orient equingular, was proved to behave isotropic, theoretically. This paper shows Young's modulus of laminated composite plate made of a sort of layer plate, so that, the rubber coated fabric, 3 layered tire wall and 4 layered tire wall by experiment. From the result of the experiment, Young's modulus of the rubber coated fabric becomes constant and independent of the laminated orientation angle, but that of 3 layered tire wall and 4 layered tire wall become large at the direction of fiber.

The calculation as to the amplitude of the diffract ray of disperse X-ray is a basis for the analysis of the structure in matters and so really important. (Especially pointed out in the algebraic expressions (5) and (6) in the paper). Therefore I made a trial to give physical meaning to several algebraic expressions referring to the books mentioned on the final.

This paper describes the results of a fundamental experiment on the effects of materials finer than 88 μ sieve in mountain sands on the strength of mortal. The mountain sands existing in Boso Peninsula contain considerable materials finer than 88 μ sieve. According to the results of our previous experiment, it seemed that they had some influences upon the mixes and strengths of mortal. It was difficult, however, to measure the accurate quantities of them. So we produced six kinds of fine aggregate by mixing them with the normal sands. (table 1) We considered several mixes and strengths of mortal composed of the fine aggregates described above. As the result, it seems that the effects of materials finer than 88 μ sieve are considerable. The results obtained are as follows; 1) In case of 60 percent of water-cement ratio, the materials finer than 88 μ sieve exert little influence on the mix and strength of mortal. 2) In case of less than 50 percent of water-cement ratio, the materials finer than 88 μ sieve have a remarkable influence upon the mix and strength of mortal. 3) In case of 2 percent of the materials finer than 88 μ sieve in the proportion of the fine aggregate, the materials exert little influence upon the mix and strength of mortal.

A theory of the resistive pulse method of sizing and counting particles in a conducting fluid has been studied. The certain change of voltage is coming out when the insulating submicron particles suspended in an electrolyte pass one by one through uniform pores etched in nonconducting materials. Its resistive change can be calculated from the solution of Laplace's equation for the potential subjected to insulating boundary conditions at the boundaries.

The object of this study is to search for the general term and the sum of some sequence of numbers by the diagram representing them. We can seek for them easily through intuition than calculation by its method. This very simple method shows us the essential role of the diagram. Therefore, for the more complex sequence of numbers, this study will give you an example of indicating that you can search for its general term and sum by the simple method. And also this paper will show you the relation we obtain in the combination.

In this paper the author tried to explain some facts of the continual researches which have be made since last year, among which was made a follow-up survay the relation between the results of entrance examination and the school reports sent from junior high schools. As a result of the survay, more conspicuous correlation of the school reports sent from junior high schools with college schooling records seems to be seen than that of the results of entrance examination with the schooling records, with the advancement of school year.

Many player tend to think that their left side of ability in lay-up clean shooting are inferior to those of right side. In this respect, it is interesting to know how high they want to have as their ideal motor abilities, and the difference in them between left and right side. To clearly the difference between right hand shot and left hand shot, four males were employed as the subject, and lay-up clean shot was taken photograph 5 times for each hand shot. Left hand was not inferior in physical fitness in so far as it was independent of awkwardness. For instance, muscle strength, general endurance, and agility performance was normal for the most part. But as they have no training term, consequently they can not move themselves accurately. Accordingly they are inferior in physical exercise need coordination. Four subject showed a little larger value in many factors in case of right hand shot. The lay-up clean ahooting, the average value of 5 trials on each hand, appeared to be different between right and left hand shot, therefore constant tendency among subjects and statistically significant difference between those two shots were obtained. All mean values calculated in each category are shown in Table 1, and Figure 1.

Francis Bacon, who was by nature a reformer, could not content himself with the traditional philosophies and learnings. He intended to reform them and published Instauratio Magna (The Great Instauration) in 1620. Besides this book, his thoughts are clearly stated in many works between 1603 and 1609. Bacon set a great value on Natural Philosophy which had been degraded to the offices of a servant, and appraised her to be the great mother of learnings. For the control and mastery of nature, he advocated using the true induction. Though his inductive method did not bring any discoveries, Bacon's ideas were able to exert much influence upon other thinkers, especially upon French Encyclopedists, through the image of progress.
